Default How to build a weight transfer sled?

Anybody have any good links or plans on how to build a good weight transfer sled?

We have a small little homebuilt sled thing with an airbag that we are going to use for this years Top Truck 4x4 event. But I was thinking with the amount of resources our club has, that I could gather the needed stuff to start building one. Any thoughts?

If my 4x4 club built one here, I am sure ITD could borrow it for some club usage, or maybe even have a few Sled Building parties throughout the next year here.

What I need now are some plans or good pics to go off of.

I think honestly the 4x4 club has enough resources to do it. We all have lots of junk laying around, old trailer frames, etc. The 4x4 club also has a good welder with a big shop and area to store it.

With the possible help/donations from ITD'rs I think we could make it happen. Plus we have the local city park here to hold an event if we wanted.

I am thinking about it, and I think we should get a group of us together with ITD and WWOR to have a planning meeting to see if this if feasible for the two clubs to build our own sled for club events.

How about having a meeting sometime in January to get this started?
